About the Author |
| At the time that I am writing this I am 27 years old. My name is James. I have just finished all my classes to get my Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Information Systems. I am using this site to practice some of my codding and hopefully learn some new things. I like to do things that are computer related and also once in a while like to go to the shooting range and use my fire arms.
I own 2 cars, a 1968 Ford F250 which my grandfather bought brand new in 1968. The truck is in pretty decent condition considering the amount of use the truck has seen. The truck has been to Mexico and back many times with a camper on the back. More than I can say for myself, the farthest I have ever been is Nevada. I am currently just getting little things for the truck as it wastes a lot of gas, so I do not want to drive it daily. The truck is a blast to drive. It is really a bare vehicle. It has 4 wheel drum brakes, manual steering, manual brakes, and a 3 speed manual transmission. There is really not too much to the truck. I am slowly trying to get parts to make the truck a little faster and safer. I am planning on getting to larger displacement engine to replace the origional 360ci motor that the truck currently has. I also plan on changing the front brakes to disks and maybe lowering the truck. I want to find a limited slip for the truck which should not be to difficult. I am also planning on hopefully painting the truck. ![]() The car that I am putting the most effort into currently is my 1984 Toyota Corolla Sport SR5 (AE86). I love to drive and to me this is the perfect car for me. It is close to modern with the disk brakes, front struts, over head cam engine, and power prakes. It is still old enough to have a carburetor (which can be a pain in the ass) and a solid rear axel. The best about this super compact car is that it is rear wheel drive. This makes the car feel like I am driving a go cart and really fun in the rain. A lot of people build these cars for racing, which I do plan to do in the future, so finding replacement and upgraded parts is not too bad. For now it is my daily driver, but once I get a house and settle down I will most likely get a more modern car for the task daily driving. ![]() I also help my freinds on their website www.squishycomics.com doing technical things and also sommenting once in a while. If you enjoy web comics or just want a laugh, stop on by. I can usually be found in the forums there. I really hope that you enjoy my site and once I get more useful information like write ups and so on the site will be a lot better. Please stick around. James G |
